Police are said to have found the former England, Spurs and Newcastle midfielder looking "bleary-eyed and staggering" outside a village’s takeaway pizza shop.
He is said to have become abusive inside the takeaway after he was asked to move his van, which was blocking an entrance.
Gazza, 42, was arrested with Michael Harvey, 40, who has been a friend of the footballer’s for years.

However, there are certain steps that you should take before submitting to a breath test.

You see, the breath test measures the amount of alcohol that is currently in your blood. Once a charge has been determined, you will need to be bailed out of jail, and you will have to attend court, where you will be convicted of the crime. While it is easy to get drink driving conviction insurance after you get a DWI or a DUI, you will find that the insurance coverage rates for this type of insurance is significantly higher than it would be if you had no drink driving offences. There are many reasons for this.
First, insurance companies are continually looking at drink statistics where driving is concerned. They base their rates on these statistics. For instance, death by drink driving instances have risen in some states, but dropped in others, due to stiffer penalties for the drink driving offence.
The insurance companies know that you have already been convicted of drink driving once, so when you get drink driving conviction insurance after that first event, they have to assume that there is a possibility that you will do it again, and that they risk having to pay out large sums if there is an accident, and possibly millions of dollars if death by drink driving occurs.
Often, whether you have a DUI – Driving under the Influence, or a DWI – Driving While Intoxicated, doesn’t matter to the insurance companies. Or a relevant code in your country. Unfortunately, if you have ever had any drink driving offences, and you need insurance drink drive coverage, you will find that this is essentially impossible.
Most drink driving conviction codes in America will require you to carry an SR-22 in order to have your driver’s license unsuspended. If this is the case, this essentially means that as a part of your punishment for alcohol related traffic stops, you are required to carry car insurance for a certain period of time. The amount of time varies from one state to another, but can be as little as two years.
The SR-22 is simply a form that is purchased through your insurance company. The form is filled out, and typically filed with the state by the insurance company. Each month, the form is resubmitted after your premium is paid – proving to the state that you are still meeting the requirement as a part of your drink driving penalty.
In England you will have points left on your license or if you are lucky when you start driving you will have a clean start.
If you decide that you cannot afford your car insurance and that you will take the risk of driving without insurance, the fee for the SR-22 will not be paid either, which results in the insurance company essentially notifying the state that you no longer have coverage, which also results in the state suspending your driver’s license. At this point, not only will you be risking driving without insurance, but driving without a license as well.
Again, in these tough economic times, you need to save as much money as possible, but when you cut expenses, you really cannot afford to cut your insurance drink drive coverage. Driving without insurance is almost as bad as drink driving in many states, and in many other countries too in terms of the costs and penalties associated with it.

If you have been charged and convicted of DUI, or Driving under the Influence, you may find it difficult to find affordable car insurance. You must find an insurance company that offers drink driving car insurance, but if insurers know about your conviction, you will be classified as a high risk driver.
It is up to you whether you inform potential insurance companies about your DUI, but they will pull your driving record, and if the offence is on it, they may decide not to cover you at all, and even if you are covered already, when they pull your record again – as they do approximately every three years – if it is discovered, they could drop your coverage at that point.
Worse stil if you have an accident they will cancel your insuance so that you could be driving without insurance and get convicted of that too!
Depending on the state that you live in, or the country you live in if you have drink driving offences, you may be required to carry an SR-22, which is purchased through your drink driving insurance company. This significantly increases the cost of your insurance.
